Salsaholics Teachers

Jose
Jose is our lead-leaders teacher and co-founder of Salsaholics. With well over 15 years of teaching experience, he only loves to teach, learn and share what he loves. He tries to always see the bright side of life and bring a good energy to his environment. He believes that’s how more dancers can be made.
When he first approached dancing, he though (as many people) that he would never learn it. However, Salsa was an integral part of his growing as a person since he was younger he suffered from a lot of health and overweight/obesity problems. He can confidently say that Salsa saved his life more than once. Now it's only his duty to share this life skill to anyone willing to listen and learn.
Roza is Salsaholics' lead teacher of followers (girls). She was born in Baku, Azerbaijan and moved to Prague almost 14 years ago to study. More than 9 years since Salsa flood into Roza's life.
Roza never had any interest in dancing until a friend persuaded her to try a Salsa class. That class turned out to be a turning point, completely transforming her perspective and lifestyle. She quickly fell in love with the music and rhythm of Salsa.
After six months of intensive daily classes and social dancing, Roza became a dance instructor at a non-profit organization called Dance4Water. During this time, she developed a strong friendship with Jose, and together, they decided to open their own Salsa school.

Veronika´s first dance steps began when she was a little kid. She tried several styles for a short period, including Slovak folk dance, disco, and ballroom, but nothing captured her heart as much as Cuban dances. She started her first salsa lessons 8 years ago at Salsa by Norika dance school in Bratislava, which she still considers her “salsa home club”. Since then, she has had several instructors of different nationalities, but she is mostly grateful for the influence of Johnson Mayet, an afrocuban dance instructor, who has been training her for a couple of years. She attended countless festivals and social dance events and, last but not least, practiced hard at home. Veronika performed with two dance groups, Locura (salsa) and La Adictiva (bachata). In Slovakia, she helped organize the first Slovak and International Salsa Rueda Flashmob. Veronika´s favorite dances are son, rumba guaguancó, casino, and Dominican bachata. She loves songs of Havana de Primera and Buena Vista Social Club. At a party, you can also sometimes see her playing musical instruments. She knows she still has a lot to learn and does that with tremendous passion and energy, which she would love to share with you!
